Shanghai LEGOLAND® Resort is one of the largest family entertainment destinations in China, combining theme park attractions, hospitality spaces and extensive public facilities within one high-traffic environment.
To meet the different flooring requirements across entrance and wet areas, PAALER supplied two application-specific matting solutions: Akon™ Scraper & Dirt Control Mat for high-traffic entrances and UltraBlock™ Modular Drainage & Anti-Slip Mats for selected poolside and wet areas.

Shanghai LEGOLAND® Resort officially opened on July 5, 2025 in Shanghai's Jinshan District. The resort covers approximately 318,000 square meters and includes eight themed areas with more than 75 rides, shows and interactive attractions.
Such a large public destination places very different demands on flooring depending on the application area. At entrances, the key challenge is controlling dirt and moisture carried in by visitors. Around swimming pools and other wet zones, drainage and underfoot traction become more important.
